A VIRTUAL SYMPOSIUM
September 24, 2020 - Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia
Sustainable fisheries management is one of the essential strategies to overcome the decline of fisheries resources, which may be caused by overexploitation in fishing activities. The integration of aquatic and other environmental management should be considered as a solution to protect the essential and critical ecosystem. This intention could not be separated from scientific-based studies even in the pandemic life, which many scientists and student have shifted their workspaces to home. Therefore, a scientific forum is organized for gathering scientific information to be used by stakeholders to the management of natural resources and the environment.
International and National Symposium on Aquatic Environment and Fisheries (INSAEF) is the first symposium organized by Marine and Fisheries Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia, and Indonesian Association of Oceanologists of Aceh Chapter. It is an excellent opportunity to discuss the current issues of aquatic environment and fisheries, such as aquatic pollution, biodiversity, climate change effect on the aquatic environment, fish diseases, fisheries conservation, aquaculture methods, etc.
This event will be conducted bilingually (Bahasa and English). The international session will be presented in English and the papers will be published in either IOP (Scopus indexed) or AJAS (National Acredited/Sinta 3), while the national session will be presented in Bahasa and the publication will be published in Depik Journal (National Acredited/Sinta 2, Special Issue).
